It has been more than a month since the last Express Entry draw and the IRCC has issued 3,200 invitations to candidates in the all-program draw. The Comprehensive Ranking System score was set at 531 points. The applicants who made the cut will receive the ITAs.
There were more express entry draws conducted these years than in the previous years, and the face of the express entry draws also changed owing to the category-based selections in recent times. Express Entry Program is the pathway for skilled workers with the point-based selection of applicants. There are three subcategories - the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) , the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The applicants are judged based on their language ability, age, work experience, occupation, and education. Those with a high CRS score are selected for relocation and selected for Permanent Residency.
The IRCC has also started the category-based selection of immigration. For this year, the IRCC has selected six categories –
The above categories are the ones in demand; the applicants in these categories are selected based on their skills and experience rather than only the CRS score.
The first-ever category-based draw was conducted on June 28, in which experienced healthcare professionals were selected. Since then, there have been draws for STEM professionals, trades, and applicants proficient in French.
