In the latest Express Entry draw the IRCC has invited 911 applicants for the 911 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. This draw required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 732 for candidates to receive an invitation.
• ITA – 911
• CRS Score – 732
It was the first of September after an active summer for the Express Entry system especially July and August when the IRCC held 14 separate draws. The month of July was especially a record-breaking with nine draws and it is the highest number since the Express Entry system launched in 2015.
The last draw if the IRCC was conducted on August 27, in which 3,330 candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program were invited to apply for permanent residency. IRCC has now started a pattern of targeting specific groups through distinct draws. There is a particular focus on providing pathways to permanent residency for temporary residents already living and working in Canada. There have been multiple draws conducted every week and ideally there is always one draw of the PNP applicants. It is in line with the department’s broader strategy to prioritize "domestic" draws.
