The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC) of Canada has sent out more offers through the Express Entry method. This will continue until 2025. The government asked 1,000 people to apply under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in the most recent draw. In this way, it showed that it still wanted to hire skilled people who had worked in Canada before.
This draw was open to people who got a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 534. They also need to have made their Express Entry restart before 8:28 a.m. UTC on August 14, 2025. The competitive selection process is open and fair because of this exact cut-off.
As part of the Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP), the first draw took place on September 2. You can enter again for the second time this September on Express Entry. It also comes after a busy August with many category-based and PNP-specific draws, such as one on August 19 for people who work in social services and healthcare.

IRCC has sent out 57,069 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry so far in 2025. There are still a lot of jobs and people living in Canada that are filled by economic newcomers.
The department's main goals for this year can be seen in how the draws were handled. This is the 16th time that the Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) has been used to pick applicants. With 9 draws, the Canadian Experience Class is in second place. Also, IRCC has held 4 draws. One was for people who speak French well, and the other two were for people who work in education or health care. Earlier this year, there was also a draw with only one title to honour education.
IRCC is focusing on PNP and CEC candidates, which shows that they want to fill job gaps in different regions while also giving people who have worked in Canada before more opportunities. Because they already know how to work and socialise in Canada, people who are CEC candidates are often seen as good candidates for permanent status.
A lot of people who want to move to Canada are very interested in what IRCC will do in the coming months. They want to know if they will continue to focus on category-based selection and PNP recommendations, or if they will give more chances to people in other Express Entry categories. Canada's economy still rests on immigration, so the kinds of people who move there will probably stay varied. However, they will still carefully select people who fit with national and regional goals.
