Manitoba Province Conducts Draw om 21 August 2025

CanadaThe second provincial immigration draw of August took place in Manitoba this week. People who are skilled were sent job offers through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme (MPNP). Invitees were chosen based on their skilled work experience, Expression of Interest (EOI) scores, and their ability to help with planned efforts to hire people. This is the 17th time in 2025 that the province has seen new people move in.

Draw #252 of the Expression of Interest (EOI) took place in Manitoba on August 21. Here are the results of that draw. Along with the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas routes, this one was part of the Skilled Worker Stream. One hundred and seventy letters of advice to apply (LAAs) were sent out. One hundred eighteen were sent to people who had a good Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

The person called this round with the lowest score had a 612 score. Keep in mind that a LAA was only given to people who were personally asked by the MPNP as part of a long-term recruitment plan.

Planned attempts to hire people

Just about Manitoba's targeted recruitment efforts came up in this draw. These are meant to connect communities and companies with skilled workers in areas that are in high demand. These letters were sent out:

Problems that might come up and affect candidates

They made it clear that mistakes in the application or the technology used could have kept some people who met or beat the cut-off score from getting a LAA. These were some of them:

  • Failing to provide a valid test number when reporting a recognised language test, or using old test results.
  • Giving a fake invitation number in the EOI but still saying they want to be a part of a strategic hiring attempt.

What is a plan for hiring people strategically?

Programmes called "strategic recruitment efforts" help Manitoba find people who have skills that are in high demand in the state. To make these kinds of things happen, employers, neighbourhoods, and racial or national groups often work together.

For employers to be able to offer international candidates, they must first make sure that the candidates meet the job requirements and go through the province's hiring process. People who are picked must also meet certain requirements for the Skilled Worker Stream. For example, they must be the right age, have the right level of education, have work experience, and be able to speak and understand the language.

Manitoba needs more workers, and these programmes help. They also make it possible for skilled foreigners to live in Manitoba permanently.
