Ontario has invited applicants for the Provincial Nominee Program

Canada's Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) held five draws and called 468 people with job openings in certain parts of the province on August 28, 2025. The draws were mostly for people from other countries who want to live in Northern Ontario as jobs or students. They were also open to people who met the requirements of the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) pilot scheme in one of three job offer streams: In-Demand Skills, Foreign Worker, or International Child.

The letters were sent to people who filled out the Expression of Interest (EOI) form between July 2, 2025, and August 28, 2025. Employers in Northern Ontario could get skilled workers through these draws, which were meant to help the province's regional job market. The draws also made it easier for foreign students and workers to become permanent residents.

Streams for Ontario Immigration

This is what people who had a job offer in Northern Ontario were sent:

• Employer Sends Job Offer to a Foreign Worker 53 out of 94 offers sent got the lowest score.
• Employer Sends Job Offer to International Student – There were at least 66,236 letters sent.

Those who lived in Canada at the time of the application got these targeted calls before other people. Muskoka, Haliburton, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Manitoulin, Sudbury, Greater/Grand Sudbury, Timiskaming, Cochrane, Algoma, Thunder Bay, Rainy River, and Kenora are the PNP communities in northern Ontario.

With the REDI and other improved PNP streams, companies and areas can hire more people, which will help their local economies grow. People who can find work in these places can get permanent residency faster, and businesses can hire qualified people to keep those companies going.

Anybody who wants to apply should see if they can use these better lines and keep an eye on any changes made by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programme. Ontario wants to help regional economies grow, and this focused approach makes sure that immigration paths match the needs of the province's job market.
